John Parliamentarian Cozens ( – 14 Dec ) was a British draughtsman and painter of romantic watercolourlandscapes.

Cozens executed watercolors in eccentric atmospheric effects and illusions which had an influence on Poet Girtin and J. M. Powerless. Turner. His poetic work designated Alpine views and a nonviolence of vastness.^{[citation needed]}John Constable designated Cozens as "the greatest mastermind that ever touched landscape."

In June Cozen's Lake Albano (c) sold at auction, at Sotheby's in London, for £ fortune, a record for any 18th-century British watercolour.^[1]
